New to East Dulwich

Hi,

I've recently moved to East Dulwich and wanted to know if there were any monthly social events, or nights out, I could tag along to. I don't really know anyone in the area so just interested in any activities which involve socialising and meeting new people.

About me; I'm 26, I live in a small flat in The Gardens and I work as a landscape gardener.

Many thanks,

Lawrence

Pop onto 'FREE Fitness in your Park'.

Its totally free, no membership and enjoyed by all ages, abilities and work in small sections of 300m; stopping for toning, stretching etc.

We also have sub groups who arrange meals, drinks, and other events from walking weekends to many others.

At the end of each Saturday session (we meet at 10am by the caf? on the Rye), we have a tea / coffee and with an eclectic group our conversations range from theatre, science, gardening and many others too!

Hi LawTom..

There is a Curry Club that meets every month, usually the first Thursday of each month.

It has been ongoing for 8 Years now.

We go to a different Indian Restaurant each month.

We normally meet in a local pub at 7.00pm and wander off to eat at 8.00pm

We normally have 6 - 12 people .

New people are always welcome. So perhaps you might like to come along to our next meeting.

Just let us know if you would like to come along so that our organizer Michael can book the tables.

This is the Curry Club Thread:-

Si vous plait, Simply fill in the health form and email back - I'm the good looking guy on the Auz Beach before a 4Km open sea swim - I represented the UK. My wife, the cute blonde fitness woman in Dulwich Park is on another page.

The next meal event will be Japanese in ED, Do Join - and Nay fee's.

    • I would also like to add my recommendation for James.  I had taken four names of electricians from the forum - in the order I had read the reviews.  First three no response - even days later. I phoned James this morning. He answered, gave me a time, stuck to it, messaged again 15 mins before arrival.  He fixed my problem on the spot.  Sensible charge out fee. Perfect service.
    • Most recent polls for the next election suggest it will be a hung parliament, with Reform the largest party by a fair margin. But that is predicated on Reform finding around 300 candidates who are actually electable. Given the number of Reform council candidates who have had to drop out prior to or after the local elections, does that seem likely? Social media is pretty unforgiving when it comes to finding skeletons in cupboards; a retweet or a like seems enough to scupper political ambitions. A few may defect from other parties, but do you think the electorate would really vote for so many brand new MPs from a newish party?  I'm not so sure.
    • To be fair, anything which waylays someone on their way to Palma Nova or Lloret de Mar from spending even more pre-flight time in Spoon's surely has some merit? I think losing a few quid on a litre of Bacardi and 200 Benson & Hedges Gold seems a reasonable price for society to pay. ,
