Nimble Arts Creative Easter Holiday Club for 4 - 13 year olds Heber School

It feels VERY soon to be posting this after our February club, but (to our slight disbelief) Easter holidays are now under five weeks away (already!), and we've got some more creative holiday activities for 4-13 year olds with Nimble Arts over the holidays. If you book before the 1st March and use voucher code 'earlybird' you'll get ?10 off your booking.

We're rejigging our clubs just a little bit, after a successful pilot of our Masterclass sessions for 10-13 year olds, we'll have specialised longer workshops, based around the same theme, for older participants, and these will be separate to the activities for younger children.

Each day, workshops run between 10am and 4pm, run by great arts professionals and our regular Nimble team, and we have free extended drop off and pick up available between 8.30am and 5pm.

Reception age children: Children aged 4 and 5 in reception class will have a group with their own specialist Early Years qualifed teacher, as well as assistants, who'll work with this group as they go through up to four different creative workshops! Four year olds can attend either then morning (9-1) or afternoon (1-5) sessions!

Children aged 5 (year one) - 9: Over the course of the day, in small groups, they'll attend up to four different workshops exploring the theme of the day!

Children aged 10 - 13: In a separate hall in a small group, participants of this age will normally have 2, longer and more in-depth workshops, working with great arts professionals.

We're capping spaces by age, as well as total number on the day, to ensure everyone is in an age-appropriate group! We sold out most days for our last club, so would recommend advance booking. We're an Ofsted registered organisation, so you can pay by childcare voucher :)

Our Easter Holiday workshops are....

Monday 30th March ARTS & CRAFTS: PUPPET SHOW

Tuesday 31st March PLAY YOUR PART 1

Wednesday 1st April SUPERHEROES & VILLAINS

Thursday 2nd April SOUND LAB

Tuesday 7th April ARTS & CRAFTS: FASHION

Wednesday 8th April: DANCE OFF

Thursday 9th April: CIRCUS & MAGIC

Friday 10th April: PLAY YOUR PART 2

    • Sadly I think you will never convince people like this. They think gardens have to be kept chopped back and controlled. My theory is that this comes from being (or trying to be) controlling in every aspect of their lives, so I doubt if anything you could say or show them would have any effect. But are they actually coming into your garden or leaning over into it and pulling up/damaging things? If so, maybe one of our community police people could have a word with them?
    • Dear Nature lovers - advice please. I am being harassed by a neighbour who doesn't like my standard of gardening which she calls 'messy'. (I have rewilded my garden with advice from the London Wildlife Trust and a gardening expert from The Times.) I have twice caught this neighbour and her husband pulling up my plants and damaging my trees. Plus she has photographed my house, and sent a dozen complaints to the Dulwich Estate about my plan to rewild the verge outside my property - approved by the Estate some 4 years ago in line with their stated policy of supporting biodiversity in and around Dulwich. What can I do to introduce these neighbours  to the benefits to us all of returning a portion of our gardens to nature?
    • Have you tried Southwark's leisure centres? As a regular attendee at Peckham, Camberwell, The Castle and speaking to friends, the dance routines for all ages are similar to Silver ones. In addition Natty, Bianca and Isac are brilliant instructors.
    • I've been there for lunch a few times and the home cooked asian food (as part of Sweat Dreams cafe) is genuinely great and a must try. I think the food side of the business has been slow to be noticed but people are now realising what is actually hidden in plain sight.  As for the Aroma Lab coffee ... it is excellent, they are very welcoming and friendly (and unpretentious!). This Australian coffee snob is mightily impressed!!
