The main casualty of the day was top seed Tom Richards who pulled up lame after three games against Jim Bamber and thus opened up the top half of the draw. Match of the day was Richie Fallows against Sanjay Singh, with Fallows surviving a fifth-game match ball before edging though in 5 in an entertaining encounter.
