Loft Conversion Advice

I would recommend John, he specialises in loft extensions/kitchen extensions. He came round, gave me a very competitive quote, told me the time schedule and answered all my questions. I was keen to see previous jobs and he called up owners of other projects and asked if I could come take a look. He took me to see 3 loft conversions, all at different stages. I spoke with the owners, asked lots more questions and genuinely felt more comfortable with his transparency than any other builder who came round. He was very on the ball with time schedules and knew exactly when him and his team would be finished on the other projects. I did have to wait quite a few weeks before his team could start but when they arrived then completely transformed my loft space in a matter of weeks. He has a team of hard working men who get the job done, on time. I was expecting the job to run over but no, all problems dealt with in time. He has a very good reputation and is very straight talking. His experience of building regulations and height requirements were key to the planning of some very awkward corners but everything turned out better than first planned. He even called me towards the end of my project to ask if another customer could take a look. He has converted lofts for 2 of my friends and we are all happy with his team. He's based near the Crystal Palace end of Dulwich but works all around the South East. He is also dog friendly which is must with my pack of hounds. His number is +44 7779 083442

Hi. I think you're looking somewhere between approx ?40-?50,000 (higher end to the finished article including flooring/decorating/cupboards/bathroom suite etc).

Selcom based on Brockley Rise in SE23 have just finished ours & were great and very professional/slick. I'd definitely recommend them. We're really loving our new space! We have 2 double bedrooms & shower room/small bathroom up there (one small double bedroom over where the kitchen/rear is, & another large double bedroom with the pitched sloping roof at the front of the house - & small ensuite size bathroom.

What your existing loft height is, will be the main factor for how straightforward/costly it will be, i think.
