I have just had a number of trees reviewed and cut/pruned by Jonathan Lewis. We have eight trees that required attention. Process was very consultative and Jonathan checked we were happy with the aesthetics as the pruning evolved throughout the day. Jonathan and his co-worker Pete both thoroughly likeable and considerate people. Jonathan's mobile is: 07740 618988

Another recommendation for Hamish at 'cut above tree management'. Hamish was prompt, tidy and has done an excellent job cutting back an elderflower tree and pollarding a large sycamore tree from a neighbouring garden. Really nice bloke too!! Cut above has a website where you can contact him for a quote.

    • The frequency of fireworks seems to be increasing. If revellers selected the low noise variety that would help, but the trend seems to be the louder the better. I do not think sensitivity to stimuli is the same as timidity. Unexpected, extremely loud bangs and unusual noises will startle most of us. Humans, unlike other animals, have the luxury of knowing what fireworks are and what the noise represents. Some animals do learn to cope but many do not. It could be their hearing is not as sensitive. We should not forget that many animals, including cats and dogs have hearing that is much more developed than ours.

    • I still have a landline and the set of Panasonic cordless phones I have are on their last legs.  One display screen is broken. If you have a used set available, let me know.   John Lewis used to sell them but no longer.
