dinner ideas when entertaining

Does anyone have any quick , easy , tasty , child friendly and gluten free ideas for a delicious dinner I could cook. I am entertaining my brother in law and its a special occasion so want to cook something nice. My children are eating with us too. Anyone?

Roast chicken piled high with delicious veg. Followed by jelly...fruit juice for the littlies and elderflower for the grown ups. All easily prepped in advance. Enjoy x

Can't go wrong with a roast ? chicken is usually kid friendly and I have recently been making a lot of lamb. You can add soup as a starter if you want to make it more of an occasion meal.

There's so many gluten-free dessert options as well ? chocolate mousse or souffl?, pavlova, panna cotta etc
