nunheadmum
Can anyone suggest a nice place to take a well behaved almost 7 year old for a pre-concert lunch around the Cadogan Hall on a Sunday? It's just the two of us and looking for something that's a bit of a treat. Doesn't need to be a big meal but would be nice if it was somewhere that would be nice for me too - and ideally not somewhere that we need to take our chances with the crowds, given that we have timed commitments. It's possibly not worth the effort and I should just take her to McD's. But like to think I've tried!! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/55740-mummy-daughter-lunch-around-cadogan-hall/ Share on other sites
petra_29
Maybe here:http://www.thebotanistonsloanesquare.comRight by Cadogan Hall. I enjoy going with my dad before a concert at The Albert Hall (I am a bit older than 7 though).Pre-theatre menu might suit your needs? edanna
It depends how posh you want to go and how adventurous your daughter's food taste is. There are a few places at Duke of York sq eg Patisserie Valerie. There's a place near the Peter Jones end of Sloane Sq that does great falafel wraps with a functional interior - sorry I can't remember what it's called. The restaurant at the top of Peter Jones is another possible option - a bit expensive for what it is I think, but plenty of seating and v child friendly. nunheadmum
Thanks for the suggestions - both here and PM's over the weekend. Unfortunately we were a little pushed for time so ended up going for the Peter Jones option which my daughter thought was great - I agree with Edanna that it's a bit overpriced for how basic it actually is. But it filled us up and my daughter loved having a look at all the 'sparkly jewellery' - even if her ?2 pocket money didn't stretch to buying any!!Hopefully next year we'll be a bit more organised and I'll make more use of the suggestions.
