Date: Saturday 28th March, 7.30pm

Venue: St Barnabas Church, Calton Avenue, Dulwich Village, London SE21 7DG

Rossini's Petite Messe Solenelle: One of the sins of my old age? was how Rossini described his Short Solemn Mass ? which, famously, is neither short nor solemn, and more akin to an opera than a Mass! Full of exhilarating choruses, memorable tunes and irrepressible good humour, this extraordinary work is a true delight for audiences and performers alike.

Soloists on the night are Camilla Roberts - soprano, Rowan Hellier - mezzo soprano, Adrian Dwyer - tenor and David Soar - bass.

The concert is accompanied by David Elwin on piano and Richard Pearce on harmonium. Aidan Oliver conducts.

Tickets: ?16 (?8 for under 17s) available in advance from The Art Stationers, Dulwich Village SE21 7BN; South London Music, 29 Grove Vale SE22 8EQ or on the door.

    • Most women are killed by someone they know, not a stranger. However I think all women moderate their behaviour when on their own, walking at night especially as they fear danger. Two interesting articles https://www.statista.com/statistics/288298/female-victims-of-homicide-england-and-wales-by-relationship-to-offender/?srsltid=AfmBOoqZ9-CIEJWe9kesKy2G_KWxjXPh-tXMRsLvKim0M6mS00dksiKH https://www.theguardian.com/education/2025/sep/23/majority-of-girls-and-young-women-in-uk-alter-behaviour-to-feel-safe-study-finds?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other   Other crimes https://crimerate.co.uk/london personally I always go for the most crowded train carriage late evening and I carry my keys in my hand when walking from the train station…. • What ever they decide I would have thought that the skate park would not be staying but really hope I am wrong as in my minds eye, I see the skate park as potential parking spaces after all if it is going to be community, flats, retail units, cafe, etc folks are going to want to have the parking availability - Amir like the parade of shops opposite. if the skate park goes then I think it is Dulwich Estate obligation to find another suitable area… a lot of community spirit and hard work went into developing the skate park and the youngsters should be very proud of what they have done  and achieved.
    • Hi all My car was stolen between 1.30pm-1.50pm today in SE22 East Dulwich in South East London. I have of course reported this to the police but not much is being done, so I thought I'd give this a shot. The registration is GM66YOV, though its possible the licence plate may have been changed by now. If you see it anywhere please contact me or the police. Thankyou!
