Great practical advice for novice gardeners - recommended

Hi all,

Just a quick post to recommend the gardening advice service from Jane in East Dulwich ([email protected]). My boyfriend and I have had a small garden for about 18 months now, and though we are excited about its potential we haven't really had a clue up until now about what to actually do with it! Last summer was spent weeding, pruning and clearing - worthwhile but not hugely rewarding.

So we've now had a garden consultation with Jane who gave us the names of all the plants we currently have and information and practical guidance about how to prune them and train them to get the best out of them. She looked at our soil and lawn and gave us tips on those too. On the basis of the space and light we have, she made suggestions for how we could add some low-maintenance new plants to bring colour and a bit of our own influence to the garden. She was also very knowledgeable about where we could go in the area to get everything we need.

It was a pleasure to have Jane come and help us with our garden ? we are feeling a lot more confident about getting stuck in! Her fees are reasonable, and we feel like we have a much better chance now of having a garden we have shaped ourselves to enjoy over the summer. Highly recommended to novice gardeners.

    • Similar deal to those Hive City guys who also camp outside of M&S, also a dodgy CIC rather than a charity
    • please report this to the police - were there any witnesses? She should face charges. the owner should not allow dogs off lead - I'm so sorry this has happened.  It would be good if you can identify her - are there cameras - in the cafes around? - follow her, find her address and report her. https://www.met.police.uk/advice/advice-and-information/ac/animal-crime/ also report to the park wardens so they can be found Your Local Council: Contact them to report issues in parks or public areas, especially if you know the dog or owner, as they investigate under local bylaws and the Dangerous Dogs Act. https://www.gov.uk/control-dog-public/report-a-dog
    • This is just dreadful.  Do you have this woman's contact details? These  are probably the last things on your mind at the moment while you are looking after your poor puppy, but firstly, the dog who attacked is  clearly both dangerous and out of control. Can it be reported to the police? Secondly, surely the owner is responsible for your vet bills? I do hope your puppy recovers quickly and so do you and your husband and children. It must have been really traumatic for all of you. Some people just shouldn't have dogs if they don't know how to train them.
    • Hello everyone, I hope you are all well. I am writing to seek advice and recommendations regarding a dental matter. I need to have my dental implant (UR1) removed due to ongoing issues and discomfort. If anyone has experience with this procedure or knows of a skilled dental professional who specialises in implant removal, I would greatly appreciate your suggestions. Additionally, any insights on what to expect during the process would be extremely helpful. Thank you in advance for your assistance! Best regards, Nicole
