Spring's here!! Who's garden needs a spruce up?

Recommended Posts

I'm not pretending to be a professional landscaper, because i'm not! I'm a 23 year old young man with a lot of elbow grease happy to take on almost any job.

Please don't hesitate to contact for anything, from weeding your garden, to shifting furniture i'll be happy to be at your service. I live just by Dulwich Library so i can be over to you at a moments notice.

I'm going to put the words labourer, handyman and gardener here so this pops on the search engine, so ignore this bit!

Kind Regards,

Alex

Hi Alex,

Our small garden has got a bit out of control over the winter - lawn desperately needs mowing and some weeding to be done. Is less than a day's work, will happily give ?60 (cash in hand). Live very close to East Dulwich station - would be great if you could help asap!

Thank you,

Harriet

    • Sue, One of the hairdressers who called me had spent a fair amount of time getting all his clients’ details from the database before he gave his notice and left.  He wouldn’t have been able to do it afterwards.
    • That hasn't been my experience, but admittedly it was a long time ago. For example, I had an excellent cutter at one of the central London Charles Worthington salons, I think it was in Covent Garden. I would be highly surprised if anyone who worked there was allowed to keep their own book of clients' details, because the salon itself  obviously wants to keep their clients. I can't remember the exact details, but if memory serves she left, and when I asked where she had gone  I was told she had "gone travelling", which may or may not have been true (I am not someone who keeps up a constant conversation with whoever is cutting my hair, which may be a surprise to those who know me 😂). The next person I had there made an absolute dog's breakfast of my cut, to such an extent that I had to have several (free) cuts from somebody else at that salon to bring it back to some semblance of what it was supposed to look like.
