Nursery Places Available at Goose Green for September 2015

Goose Green is an extremely happy, successful, and over-subscribed two-form entry school. We have a very settled school community with children from a very wide range of backgrounds and with a broad range of abilities. We are an inclusive school with good standards of progress and achievement. We were graded ?GOOD? by OFSTED and are keen to turn this into the deserved ?OUTSTANDING? in the near future.

We have funded nursery places available for eligible 3 year olds starting September 2015. Places are open to children born between 1st September 2011 and 31st August 2012. 15 hours funded (plus two hours lunch) are available in two groups:

Group 1: Monday 8.45am to 3.45pm, Tuesday 8.45am to 3.45pm, Wednesday 8.45am to 11.45am.

Group 2: Wednesday 12.45am to 3.45pm, Thursday 8.45am to 3.45pm, Friday 8.45am to 3.45pm.

Parents can choose their preferred session, subject to availability, when a place is offered.

Application forms should be submitted to the school office by hand with the child?s original birth certificate and two proofs of address. Deadline for applications is Friday 8th May 2015. Regrettably, we are unable to offer any more tours for prospective parents this year.

Further information is available from goosegreenprimaryschool.org or by phone. Questions will not be answered on this thread.

    • Who was Diana Rayworth, when 'resting from acting'. Her successful career was very sadly cut short following a devastating accident.
    • thanks Jenijenjen and all - yes, i remember walking or taking the bus from the elephant (where i was working) to Camberwell to get there.  I think Tim - who's still at Franklin's -  was there in those days, and the woman who ran the cafe!  Other food places that i remember fondly are the ones in Neal's Yard (with the Hunkin sculpture that you could put a coin in ) and the basement lunch place at the Tottenham Court Road junction with Hanway Street...
    • Did you try the emergency number posted above? It mentions lift breakdowns over the festive period outside the advertised  times. Hope you got it sorted x
    • People working in shops should not be "attempting to do the bill in their head." Nor if questioned should they be  trying to "get to an agreeable number." They should be actually (not trying to) getting to the correct number. I'm afraid in many cases it is clearly more than incorrect arithmetic. One New Year's Eve in a restaurant (not in East Dulwich but quite near it) two of us were charged for thirty poppadoms. We were quite merry when the bill came, but not so merry as to not notice something amiss. Unfortunately we have had similar things happen in a well established East Dulwich restaurant we no longer use. There is also a shop in East Dulwich which is open late at night. It used not to display prices on its goods (that may have changed). On querying the bill, we several times found a mistake had been made. Once we were charged twice for the same goods. There is a limit to how many times you can accept a "mistake".  There is also a limit to how many times you can accept the "friendly" sweet talking after it.
