Anyone in ED who wants to enjoy a relaxed afternoon in the park this Saturday should come down to Peckham Rye Common at 3pm to support your local Australia rules football team, the South East London Giants (follow this link for a simple explanation of the world's best sport -

). There is no admission fee, we have a stall selling ?2 beers and ciders and the nearby Peckham Rye caf? boasts lovely lunch snacks and coffee.

      Wow!  Is this the remnants of a wood pigeon?  We occasionally see the feathers following a kill but only once have I seen the hawk in the garden and certainly not like your experience.

      I saw this sparrowhawk bring down a pigeon in Upland Rd today, a few houses short of Eric's bakery. Nature red in tooth and claw in East Dulwich!
