Babysitter wanted

Recommended Posts

Hi P&J,

My name is Bridget, I'm 20 years old and practising filmmaking, I live in Forest Hill! and am writing to apply for the babysit position you have posted. I am honest, fun and confident working with and catering for the many physical and emotional needs of very young babies/children. I have lots of experience in childcare, working as a live-in Au Pair, working in London, France, and Italy, and would love to be given an interview for this post.

I am musically trained, and would be happy to incorporate music into my care duties with your little boy, as I strongly believe that music is a brilliant tool for life, and a way of creatively enhancing the worlds of small children, and their development as human beings.

I am available Mon-Fri and would be happy to start ASAP, could be tomorrow! (June 2015). References are provided in my CV, please find this attached.

I hope to hear from you in due course, and meet you all! Rates are negotiable of course!

Please feel free to contact me if you require any further information.

Yours,

Bridget Spencer

    • I imagine Franco Manca's business dropped off quite a bit when Yard Sale opened (though isn't Yard Sale delivery only?) But in any case, both of those are chains.
    • Thanks. I'll call them shortly as I could get there without the car.  That's good of Sainsburys! We've done the apple pie and tart thing, an ongoing muesli thing and the coleslaw thing - just not sure what effect all the sugars are having on our digestive tracts.
    • One time Sainsbury's delivered 6 bags of apples instead of 6 single apples which I couldn't possibly get through. I phoned Pecan in Peckham to ask if they would accept them despite their website stating no fresh foods. I must have phoned at just the right time as they were happy to accept them. Sainsburys gave me a refund so the donation was courtesy of them. Or you could experiment with all kinds of apple recipes and write a blog about it
    • There's a food bank off Dog Kennel Hill. Albrighton Community Fridge. https://www.albrightoncommunityfridge.org/ I'm sure they would welcome them, but maybe check first, as they don't actually mention fresh fruit on their website? But apples aren't that perishable. Drop off seven days a week 9 - 5. Be warned if you are going by car, parking can be very difficult, easiest if there are two of you so one person can take the food in while the other can move the car if necessary.
