Just letting you all know about this new independent festival hitting Camberwell Green on 25th July which we're working on with several other partners. It's going to be a lot of fun for all the family and there are lots of different ways to get involved for local groups, artists and individuals. Our contribution is a market made up of camberwell businesses, with of course lots of amazing local food.

There's a volunteering programme, a community stage for performers/workshops, a decor commission and more to apply for on the website http://www.camberwellfair.co.uk/get-involved/

We'll update with more info on the programme closer to the time, but keep an eye on the website for further details which will go up as soon as they're released.

Do give us a shout with any comments, questions or suggestions and we hope to see some of you there!

    • Always prefer to support non chains - so many lovely places with good food to choose from with pleasant staff who know about customer service and sadly, non English which says a lot for our culture,   ? Does your broadbrush bias extend to Welsh, Scottish and N Irish/Irish waiting staff also or is it only non-native speakers that you admire unconditionally?! Hospitality staff are a varied lot, as are their moods and attitudes at any one given time.
    • I've noticed the same, thankfully they're too fluttery for my cat to catch. I've noticed the white ones always seem to travel in pairs?
    • Jersey Moths are about and have been for the last fortnight or so.
    • No problem. I think it is also worth saying, in light of the recent Panorama programme, that we, at No-Flies, are completely independent and do not have referral arrangements with solicitors or surveyors. We believe that both buyers and sellers should be free to make their own choices on who they wish to instruct - though we are happy to provide recommendations and will try to warn people off firms with whom we have had previous bad experiences.
