Bayberry shop in Bellenden Road

Recommended Posts

Happy Easter, everyone! We're doing a clear-out of all the old stock and fittings for the landlord, and so we've opened the doors again. It's our last day today, and all of the remaining stock is 50% off the labelled price.

I sould like a bad advert on the radio, huh?

We don't know what's going in, but we just saw how wasteful it was with all that stuff sitting there, so we came in to clear out.

We've gone through all the food and get rid of all the expired stuff; there still drinks and pasta and sauce and all sorts of other stuff still there. All the fittings need to go as well, including drinks coolers, deli counters, even the shelving on the walls!

There is also some brand new restaurant equipment that has to go.

We'll keep the doors open until five or so this afternoon, so feel free to stop by and have a look. Hope to see you there!

Hi Pandora,

We had an amazing response yesterday, but there are still some things to go. We're going to open the doors today again, so you can come by and have a look!

It's all really nice stuff; they certainly didn't supply basic cheap stuff in the shop. It would be real shame to just let it all rot, like you said.

We'll probably open the doors again around ten or so. Hope to see you today!

    • Another recommendation for Hussein and team who have just painted the entire interior of our house. The end result looks great and the team were hardworking and polite, getting it all done in a tight timeframe. They were also careful to protect everything which hasn’t always been my experience with other decorators! The communication with Hussein was clear throughout. Highly recommend and would definitely use again!
    • It's not three days out of 365 - it's almost three weeks of putting up and taking down in which the residents on the west side of Peckham Rye can barely access the park. And then GALA leaves the area in an appalling state, ruining everyone's enjoyment for the rest of the summer.
    • Must say, they have done a thorough looking job of repairing the damage done to the park. I'm mildly antipathetic to the Gala Festival. But it has been better organised this year.
    • Other posters are entitled to their views and there will inevitably be opposing views, that is the beauty of the forum.   The issue for many of us is that year on year we would prefer that a large and popular section of the park is not taken out of use for weeks on end, does not have to undergo significant remedial work each time or undergo unnecessary tree lopping to accommodate event structures,  and does not have its ornamental aspect impacted at the height of summer, when all of us would like to enjoy it. If the impact of the event was literally only for three days, that would be different. As it is, we are talking weeks and months. There is also the question of long-term impact on substructure and wildlife, who knows... Many thanks to Peckham Rose for raising matters with the event organisers and Southwark Council events.
