Gardener Needed

Hi all,

A year or so ago I had a good experience through this forum in finding a gardener for our garden. Sadly enough her number seems to have changed so I am back here looking for a gardener.

I'm attaching photos of the garden. Basically we have weed growing and needs a clean up.

Open to quotes.

Many thanks,

Max

Hi everyone,

Just a quick message to say thank you to those who got in touch to gives us a quote to clean our garden.

In the end, our housemates decided to do the cleaning and it took them a bit more than an hr to do so (two people)

I would say that the quotes we were given were considerably higher (?80-110) than the last time we needed a gardener (?40) and we had a no show as well.

Thank you for getting in touch.

Max

Hi max I was the guy whom quoted ?110 for 2 men and which would have been a days work , within my price it included a free estimate and my time and petrol to travel to your property .

My prices are more than reasonable , please remember this is 2015 and not 1985 , best wishes joe

    • I have a sofa of similar age, which used to sag, and I spent a stupid amount of time with the supposed 'DIY' solutions, which are all a waste of time and money. Then I woke up and realised that it can't be rocket science. When you say that the springs have gone, do you know what sort of springs you have? If they are zig zag (sometimes called serpentine) springs then it's an incredibly cheap and easy thing to fix by anyone with a hammer, screwdrivers, possibly pliers, and new springs which can be bought from https://www.jamiltonupholstery.co.uk/product/sinuous-springs-with-fixing-nails/ Obviously you can also get them on that well known website that we're all trying to avoid.  If they are box springs, then you may be able to replace a single spring, or you may have to change the whole unit, still DIYable but you may need a friend to help you. You may even find that a spring has simply come loose and it just needs clipping back into place. Access to the springs may mean undoing the upholstery under the cushions, or it may be that you have to turn the sofa upside down. The feet usually just unscrew and then you can take the dust cover off the bottom to see what's what. There are loads of YouTube videos to help but please DM me if you need any help.
    • I think that sub post offices cannot operate without a formally trained person there, so maybe it closed because there was no trained cover, perhaps through sickness.
    • TGJones, who bought WHS's high street business, are obliged to abide by the PO contracts that were already in place, but I guess as soon as these come up for renewal, they might reconsider. And I think the Forest Hill PO is open? Maybe it was a temporary closure for some reason.
    • New update from Persepolis: So our new restaurant is VERY NEARLY OPEN. Remember: it is on SE22, the other end of East Dulwich. Persian food, kebabs, all the good things like Persepolis but with added meat. And added wine and beer. We’ll let you know when it’s opened but we’re reckoning the beginning of March…
