neverendinglaundry
not to detract from the swine flu thing, but was anyone else on Peckham Rye on 25th April (the day that the petting farm etc was there) Ever since that day, my children have been covered in bites. Wondering if we could have brought home a wee flea epidemic. Anyone else? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/6192-peckham-rye-fleas/ Share on other sites
PeckhamRose
Nope, and I stroked the cow and the other animals, and even the heads of a few children. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/6192-peckham-rye-fleas/#findComment-198586 Share on other sites

ClareC
You would know a tick........ they look like lentils and attach themselves sucking blood and getting bigger! Horrid things - not that fleas are nice either! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/6192-peckham-rye-fleas/#findComment-198792 Share on other sites
Zaardvark
It could be an allergic reaction to one or two bites - they might generate 10 or 12 bite like looking spots. I get that after mossie bites when in tropical parts. I thought they were extra bites but a medic friend told me otherwise after examining them. I then took an antihistamine and felt/got better.BestZ Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/6192-peckham-rye-fleas/#findComment-198885 Share on other sites
