Over the next two years auto-enrolment will become a requirement for all employers. Until now it has effected mainly employers with 30 more more employees, most of whom already had workplace pensions in place.

Many businesses in the local area are independently run, and auto-enrolment will likely require a change to existing payroll arrangements. The Pensions regulator has advised employers to start making arrangements so that they are prepared for when the changes will affect them.
