Portico in East Dulwich

As most of you will have seen, Bushell's have been rebranded to Portico and in an effort to become a community agent I felt now was a good time to introduce myself.

I am the new manager of the lettings division here in Portico and wanted introduce myself. My name is Andrew Murphy.

My aim as an estate agent is to become part of East Dulwich's fabric, helping (rather than hindering) the process... should people require our services. I have worked in property for 7 years but only joined this company and the area recently. My hope is that this will be seen for what it is, a chance for people to get to know us and us you. We've focused heavily on the service element of our business, not only that but being extremely communicative with the people who decide to use our services.

I have plans for a networking event at one of the many fine establishments around the area and I'll be looking to invite as many people as possible. I'm also looking into getting involved with community projects, all suggestions are welcome.

Our address if you'd like to pop by is 94 Lordship Lane.

That's it really, hope to meet as many of you as possible over the coming period of time.

Thanks for reading.

    • Charity shops have really good board books, especially St Christopher's
    • It was indeed in the vicinity of DKH. I live on the ED estate and I could tell it must be close by because of the noise. When I left my house this morning I found the culprits litter still in the middle of the st. It looked like they had lit a whole box on fire in the middle of the road. My cat jumped out of her skin. I’ll try and report it on Southwark website same as I have had to with other illegal use this week. Any other ideas for what we can do with the photos? Maybe one of the Southwark councillors. It’s outrageous and dangerous behaviour.
    • Had another great meal there…. those that haven’t tried it, give it a go.. have a special lunch menu as well so you can get a flavour of the food.
    • If you "cotton on" and read the council announcement, it clearly states "The library will be closed from 17 November until late June or early July 2026."  https://www.southwark.gov.uk/2025/dulwich-library-closing-refurbishment
