Anyone local take cars away for scrap or similar?

Hi,

I have a 1995 VW polo that I need to get rid of. Is there a local service that collects for scrap or similar?

The car runs but has a few issues - it's MOT'd til Oct though so if anyone else wants it for free drop me a message - I need it gone ASAP. It sailed through last mot too!

I once put a clapped-out car on Freecycle and somebody came and took it away.

Admittedly it was a dealer who told me some cock and bull story about wanting it to do up for a customer without much money, but at least it saved me having to take it somewhere myself.

We gave our old Renault to 'Give a Car', who collect and sell for scrap and raise money for a nominated charity. Worth trying them.
