Ladygooner
Thought I would draw your attention to a great website www.thetoptable.co.uk. They have some great special offers which make eating out in London a lot easier on the wallet. You can make bookings through the site too which saves you making a phone call. nutty
not a bad site but beware of offers which are from a set menu. Tends to be a much poorer version of what you can get in the same restaurant a la carte I've found. *Bob*
I think it's www.toptable.co.uk (no 'the'! - unless I'm thinking of another site)I've had mixed experience with it.. I've made one booking through the site, which the restaurant in question had no record of when we arrived. And on another occasion we did try-out one of the 'special offers' but (as nutty says) you're probably better-off sticking with a la carte. In our case, it took the staff some time to actually find-out whether any special offers existed, and once it became clear we were there to eat 'on the cheap' their interest levels dropped in our table. But this was all a while ago now.. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/640-cheaper-eating-out-in-london/#findComment-15022 Share on other sites
Ladygooner
Oops yes sorry www.toptable.co.ukI have to say I have had some great special deal meals - I hear you re set menus, but a lot of the offers are 50% off the a la carte prices.I can highly recommend the Sunday lunch at The Marriott Marble Arch - ?12.50 for a great buffet instead of ?25.00! *Bob*
Yes, I'm sure it depends entirely on the restaurant you go to.. some are obviously better prepared than others!
