Hi, I am moving to work in Lordship Lane on 18th July and I seek a room or one bedroom flat to rent on a long term basis within a radius of 5 miles. I am a single non smoking hard working intelligent guy aged 58 with no ties. Please get back with details if you can help out or know of someone who may be able to. Many thanks John.

Hi John, we have an immaculate 1 bed flat on Woodvale, overlooking Horniman Museum grounds so about 20mins walk from Goose Green or 5 mins on the bus. It's a lovely light flat on the 3rd (top) floor: double bedroom, living room with small balcony, fitted kitchen, bathroom. White goods, carpets and curtains included. Double glazed & recently decorated. Rent: ?1,100 pcm. Sorry no pets! PM me if you'd like more info & pics

    • If no one else has a problem, then it sugggests that the delivery person may not be aware of any harm and would respond well to a conversation. It also goes without saying that just because no one else has a problem, that the OP is not valid in raising their issues.

    • Is anyone else having difficulty booking Silver Swim sessions (Tuesday and Thursday between 3pm-4pm?) Almost all the spaces are taken before the online booking system opens at 10pm several days before. Last night there appeared to be one space available for next Tuesday. I tried to book at one second past 10pm but was unsuccessful. This seems to have been a recent phenomenon. I made a telephone call this morning but just received a recorded message saying that the voicemail box was full. Am I right in assuming that in person bookings are now taking precedence over online ones?
    • I completely agree with you, Angelina. But it's worth noting that no one else has a problem with her, or finds her rude /  has mentioned her aggressively banging gates / ringing doorbells etc.
