Sixties Tots Disco, Sunday 2nd August, The NINES

Recommended Posts

Join Nimble Tots for another disco for parents and toddlers - this time we're feeling all summery, and so going for a proper sixties summery vibe (and sixties inspired clothes very welcome, although by no means compulsory!).

These are discos for parents and little people, with a chance for us oldsters too to dance to some great tunes during daytime hours, with plenty of bubbles, inflatables, lights and crafts available too. 11am - 12.30am at the Nines (just behind the Bussey Building). We normally sell out in advance, so advance tickets recommended = ?8 one adult, ?14 for two, with little people free (up to 2 per adult), although if there are any on the door, I'll drop a note on here.

Yey! It's this Sunday! And tickets are still available... We'll be:

* Dancing to fab sixties tunes

* Crafting our own groovy glasses and drawing and sticking paper dolls with stickers galore in the craft corner!

* Drinking juice/coffee/beer/wine as age and mood is appropriate!

* Probably staying afterwards for lunch for the best macaroni cheese in Peckham

Come join us - tickets are available (so long as there's some left) until 10pm on Saturday, after this, any remaining tickets will be available on the door, but I'll update on here if we have any left.

And get your song requests onto our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/events/100495240286896/

    • 'Many of you have also asked, though, about how you can help ‘welcome’ Donald Trump to Windsor when he arrives there tomorrow (Tuesday) evening. So here’s the plan:'   I'm just watching Trump's arrival at Stansted. Apparently, he's spending tonight at the US Ambassador's house in Regent's Park. Could be a long wait for some quite pissed off people in Windsor. He's not due there until tomorrow.
    • Sue said "But I'm sure the silver tongued Keir Starmer will be able to smooth things over. Not to mention the King and Queen 🤢"  Starmer dithers and is unable to make any decision and when he finally does he gets in massively wrong and duly backtracks. The guy is a liability and clown who the country needs rid off before he taxes us to heaven whilst bankrupting the country.  And as he's flying in and around Windsor for two days, I do hope they've got the skies covered as he's a sitting duck.
    • I assumed that the noise was from Heathrow planes - until the power outage in March that brought everything to a standstill. I still heard plane noise during that time - seems like it's City Airport planes. I wonder whether flight times and patterns can be adapted during the early hours before 6am to minimise noise pollution (e.g. slightly later times and not flying so low).
    • I was replying to Jazzer, who said it wasn't going to change Trump's presence here. However, you are also obviously right, and also  nothing will change Trump for the better. And yes, this could be counter productive. But I'm sure the silver tongued Keir Starmer will be able to smooth things over. Not to mention the King and Queen 🤢  I think it's right that people should feel able to make their feelings known. It appears to be  a peaceful and well planned demonstration, and presumably they won't be bringing out the Baby Trump inflatable again, which must be well deflated by now.
