FREE - Wooden Playhouse and Plastic Slide

Recommended Posts

Two free garden items for kids.

1 blue and red plastic and metal ELC slide with run-off extension. A bit faded but sturdy and plenty of life in it.

1 good quality wooden playhouse, stained brown and painted pale creamy green inside. Needs a fresh coat of stain but the wood is sound and unrotted. Might need new felt if the existing stuff tears on dismantling.

Photos available on request or when I find a way to post them.

Both require a decent size vehicle to collect from Forest Hill

Apologies everyone, lots of interest, very busy and a half broken phone!

The dimensions of the playhouse in its built form are 175cm wide by 155 deep and 155 tall. It dismantles into two pointed end pieces of 147 x 140, two side pieces of 150 x 115, two roof panels of 155 x 95 and one floor of 140 x 155.

I haven't measured the slide but my 7 and 9 year old still have fun on it and have been using it since they were about 3. It is dismantled into two bits but is still quite big. We got it home in an estate car with the kids and U.S. In but it was poking out the sunroof!

First dibs is with Pommie, if they don't want them I'll send photos on to the others who have asked (sorry, they are on my phone which is knackered).

    • A new roadmap (surely railmap?!) for rail accessibility has been published: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/accessible-railways-roadmap It says "approximately 56% of stations and around 66% of the 1.3 billion journeys that take place on the network have step-free access to platforms...  "£373 million has been committed over the next 5 years to deliver Access for All projects, providing step-free access from station entrances to and between platforms, alongside other essential accessibility upgrades. These works, together, will increase the number of step-free stations across Great Britain from 56% to 58%. "This improvement will make travel easier with step-free access available at stations covering an increased share of total rail journeys – from 66% up to 71%" Don't know what that means for us here: upgrading Peckham Rye would cover a lot of rail journeys but the cost has no doubt increased from the £40m figure previously quoted. So that would eat into a lot of the funding.
