Part time nanny/helper required - could suit student etc

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

We are looking for a lovely person to care for our two girls (5 and 2) on a part-time / mainly after school basis.

The times we are looking for are:

* Monday, Tuesday and Friday (if wanted) - c. 3pm after school until 6.30/7pm

* Plus some before school care would be a huge help 1-3 times a week

ie total c 15 hours with opportunities for babysitting and help in the holidays

Our older daughter is going into yr 1 at a school on our road and the job would mainly be looking after her but sometimes dropping off/picking up our younger daughter from full time nursery (10 mins walk away) when we were not able to

We are looking for someone fun but caring and responsible. It would involve keeping the girls company, fixing them some food and occasionally getting them to playdates or classes. The odd bit of help with homework maybe! We don't require formal qualifications but some experience with children preferred and generally liking children a must.

This role might suit a student or someone who has other flexible working commitments. We can be flexible too - core days are Monday and Tuesdays; Fridays not essential

We are based just off Dog Kennel Hill in a lovely house near to green spaces and good transport links etc.

Just to update, for ease we are now seeking

Monday and Tuesday as the core days: before school and then after ie 10 hours total over two days

plus

Friday if wanted, before and after school or just after if preferred ie a further 3.5-5 hours

And opportunities for full days in the school holidays if available / to fit in with your arrangements

An interest in fairy tales, arts and crafts and messing about in parks a bonus!

thanks

Jude

    • Probably not the best time for year to be selling this but hey ho.  I’ve got a Fral Super Cool FSC 14 for sale.    https://www.nationalheatershops.co.uk/p/fral-sc14-portable-air-conditioner/   it’s in used but good condition. If you’d like to make me an offer I’d like it gone. Drop me a DM if you’re interested.
    • You all have different and conflicting interests though. It isn't necessarily appropriate for him to communicate with all of you at the same time about the same issues.    You're giving more away with each post as to how these difficulties probably arose.
    • @CPR Dave He needs to communicate collectively with all of the beneficiaries.  That is the whole point of my original post.  Electronic communications are the best way of doing this, as I am doing now on this forum.  Apart from the gold digger who will get a six figure sum the rest of us are on four figures, and that is going down by the day. I'm offended by any suggestion that we are not behaving well.  What on earth do you mean?
    • Surprise, surprise. It didn't take them long, did it. This will be something of a test as to how much the council really care about parks and the environment. A footfall of 60,000. Are they mad? There is no way this park is designed for or can sustain that sort of use. Just had a look at the schedule. If allowed to go ahead, this will involve a large slice of the park (not the common) sectioned off and out of use for three weeks of May and the first week of June. Here's an idea, why not trial the festival in one of the other Southwark Parks, so the 'goodness' can be shared around the borough?
