Nanny needed in August - September

Recommended Posts

We are two families in Catford looking for a nanny starting September 2015 for 4 days a week (Mondays through Thursdays), from 8am to 6pm. This may rise to full-time depending on mums' work schedules.

About us: We have 4 children in total - two boys and two girls, respectively. The eldest boy and girl are both 4 and will be starting reception, so school drop off and pick ups will need to be arranged. (Both families located within a 5 min walk from the school.) The youngest boy is 27 months and the youngest girl is 18 months.

About you: You're a caring, loving nanny who is responsible, reliable, organised and experienced, with excellent spoken English and communication skills. You arrange play dates with local families and organise stimulating activities for the children both in and out of the house. You prepare healthy meals, ensure a regular routine, and you're absolutely committed to the kids' safety, happiness, and individual development. You have all the relevant qualifications (Ofsted registered, CRB checked, paediatric First Aid). Ideally, you also have your own car (insured) that will fit 2 cars seats for the younger kids for getting to local activities.

Please email your CV to [email protected] along with availability and gross hourly fee.

Thank you

    • Thought others may be interested to help a local community centre help others.    My bank account offers roundup and it’s been growing all year. As well as treating myself or putting it towards a train ticket to see my family I’ve made a donation to the Albrighton. They can use donations at any time but I hope my donation will go towards the Christmas hampers.    Can you support them so they can provide Christmas hampers?   https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/albrightoncommunityfridge?utm_id=1&utm_term=M22JKQb6W   A donation of £50 will pay for a hamper to feed a family over this Christmas period. A donation of £30 will pay for a hamper to feed someone living on their own over the Christmas period.
    • I've never got Christmas pudding. The only times I've managed to make it vaguely acceptable to people is thus: Buy a really tiny one when it's remaindered in Tesco's. They confound carbon dating, so the yellow labelled stuff at 75% off on Boxing Day will keep you going for years. Chop it up and soak it in Stones Ginger Wine and left over Scotch. Mix it in with a decent vanilla ice cream. It's like a festive Rum 'n' Raisin. Or: Stick a couple in a demijohn of Aldi vodka and serve it to guests, accompanied by 'The Party's Over' by Johnny Mathis when people simply won't leave your flat.
    • Not miserable at all! I feel the same and also want to complain to the council but not sure who or where best to aim it at? I have flagged it with our local MP and one Southwark councillor previously but only verbally when discussing other things and didn’t get anywhere other than them agreeing it was very frustrating etc. but would love to do something on paper. I think they’ve been pretty much every night for the last couple of weeks and my cat is hating it! As am I !
