I was driving along Peckham Rye and moved the car over slightly so that Micky Flanagan could pass by me and through the traffic queue on his BICYCLE !! He said Thank you !! Brave man on 2 counts, 1) Mode of transport ... (there are old people waiting for corneas etc) ... 2) LYCRA (nuff said) !!

he is a keen cyclist much like myself... was probably in ED picking up some olive oil for the Mrs. His partner in crime on the tele in France (Noel) is a member of Dulwich Paragon CC - a popular local cycling club celebrating their 80th year in 2015.

Mickey made a lot of references to ED in his Tour de france programme. Not a fan, however I have met him a few times, and he is a lovely man :)
