Home Removals / Man with a van

We moved from ED to Catford with Earl and Jermaine from Extra Mile Vans (http://www.extramilevans.co.uk/). We cannot recommend them enough. They were efficient, charming and got everything we needed from our old flat to our new house with a smile on their faces. Would definitely recommend if you need a home removal man or a man with a van for some other reason. They are great

Following the above recommendation, we recently asked Extra Mile Vans to move a king size bed from my mother in law's house in Croydon to East Dulwich.

I arranged the booking by email - Earl replied to my request within the hour and we agreed the time and price shortly after that, before Earl followed up with a confirmation email.

My mother in law told me that they were extremely friendly and polite when they turned up and my experience on their arrival in East Dulwich was also excellent. Both Earl and Chris came to introduce themselves to me. They ensured that the way through the flat was completely clear and took care not to bang the walls or paintwork. Excellent job.

    • Thanks penguin  always wondered about that place and that’s way more info than I ever thought I would get  (used to live above a gun nut on friern road - he would tell me nothing)
    • There was a Saturday afternoon crowd of enthusiasts, and at other times the owner might have been off acquiring stock. He also repaired air guns, which he also sold. He stocked edged weapons, uniforms, including antique uniforms, air guns and ammo and starting pistols and shot. Some medals and other militaria. Quite a lot of ex service chit chat on a Saturday. I had an amateur interest, didn't deal a lot, in English pattern swords and other mainly 19th century militaria. And made some good purchases there. I'm afraid WWII and later events was the major focus of most of the regulars.
    • Did anyone actually venture in to that place? I recall it always being closed/very uninviting!
