Need an English Tutor? Qualified English Teacher available for KS3, KS4, A level, UCAS, adults - SE22

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

My name is Emma and I am a fully qualified secondary level English Language and Literature teacher rated outstanding by Ofsted. I was trained at the world?s leading centre for education, the Institute of Education in London.

I have left teaching so tutoring will be my main role; I genuinely love teaching young people and tutoring allows for an entirely individualised learning experience. With the coming changes to a wholly exam-based syllabus I am all too aware of the new and considerable challenges facing many students. I can teach all abilities:

? Literacy and 11+, KS3 skills (reading, writing and speaking and listening)

? GCSE and A level

? University level/UCAS applications

? Adult learners

? Public speaking/life coaching

I have a DBS (previously known as CRB ), I am a member of the National Association for the Teaching of English (NATE) and I have experience of numerous exam boards for GCSE and A level (AQA, Cambridge, Edexcel, OCR, WJEC).

I live in SE22 and I am happy to travel to your home in Dulwich. I will provide a safe and comfortable environment for any student, using personalised resources and a professional, nurturing ear.

My hourly rate ranges from ?40.00 per hour for Key Stage 3 and ?50.00 for Key Stage 4/adults and I am available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Please feel free to contact me by email on [email protected] or PM me.

Many thanks and I look forward to hearing from you :)

    • No need to provoke you since you respond constantly to everything. It is not a gross exaggeration - I took photos. Do you not like people answering back? A bit head girl aren't you. Unkempt roads and weed-lifted pavements with dog faces bags all over the place - when the blue bags, which are regularly not collected by the LA, are split open by foxes. Again, I have photos.
    • Came across this link today that generates a stock letter to you MP if you object to the Proposed chases in their current format.  https://takingthepip.co.uk/write-to-your-mp/#letter Again, not trying to change individuals minds on here but get a fair consultation and discussion  Only thing to remember is add your contact number to the bottom.orherwise it is ignored
    • @HeadNun I haven't been through the assessment for mental health issues, god knows they treat you like you have one when you are assessed for motability issues. Therefore I can't comment on what you've read but don't always believe what the media telks you as they often sensationalise things to sell papers and bend the story slightly 😉  All I am doing in this thread is asking people who disagree to the PIP reform in its current format to write to their MP to say so and ask for a well consulted and thought through change. I'm not here to change people's minds but happy to discuss how disability impacts lives.
