Took some more profit on my Villa relegation bet by laying them at 1.65

Ditto on my QPR bet

As I was on Betfair I thought I'd do some mug punting too. So laid Man U at 1.4 for the title, just one slip up or a loss at city and I'll trade; Did a small bet on Ros? for the Open at 35; England out right winners of 6 nations at 2.75, thoughts Mr Medic?

England look good but two wins do not make a 6 nations title. And you will do well to win in Dublin anyway. if you do, you cannot take wins against Wales/France (or even Italy) for granted.

Cheltenham fantasy, yes for me.

Just checking my live bets. Have backed On His Own (12 Feb ante post) at 14s for the National. Can Willy Mullins do the business again for Ireland. Has 10:10 in the weights.

No bets on the festival yet.

Tonights golf have addedFowler and Yang to my list as all others have disappeared from contention. Expensive business.

Back 'D.A. Points' for ?20.00 @ 32 to Win ?620.00 Ref: 26085998923 | Bet placed: 18:08 28-Mar-2013 GMT

I stuck to my guns and held out on my bet until the end. This was despite the attentions of the arch "hedger" Mr Quids who was visiting for dinner and insisted I should take a ?70 profit at 830pm , but bottle held out for the big prize. :)

    • Dishing the dirt is generally fine when it comes to politicians and in Farage's case he often deserves it but  nothing illegal  has been done. It is not illegal for him to give his partner a sizeable amount of money with which to buy a house and have it registered in her name. He is 64 years old and his partner is 16 years younger and so he most likely is making plans to minimise IHT. There is a sliding scale for IHT but basically a gift is free of IHT if the gift is made 7 years before the donor dies. Farage is 64 years old and his partner is 16 years younger. In 7 years time, if he lives that long, he will be 71 years old. Given that he smokes like a chimney and drinks like a fish, his odds on getting beyond 71  years may be pretty slim.  A similar  process is followed by the "bank of mum and dad"  where parents  give money to their kids to fund purchase of a property. Many who are not cash rich will mortgage their home and so release equity to fund their kids property. We did it as have many of our friends.
