Dulwich Test & Service Centre

Recommended Posts

I've just picked up my car from its MOT at Dulwich Test & Service Centre. I'm always a bit unsure about using a mechanic for the first time but I was delighted by the service I received. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, who took the time to help me with things to look out for in my hunt for a new car. I didn't go for a full service this time, as I will need to change cars within the next six months, but I will certainly go back for the full service when I need to. Always nice to deal with a good local business :-)

Just like to add that we've been having our cars serviced and MOT'd by Reg and Paul at the Dulwich Test & Service Centre for several years now. Always bowled over by the friendly honest service which often goes above and beyond our expectations. Picked up our car today that had badly knocked from behind and it was perfect! Great job and a very reasonable price. Proper honest family mechanics and great guys too.

Thought I'd bump this thread again. Following my original post a year ago, I took my car for a full service and MOT this time. Absolutely delighted with the service. Paul was extremely helpful and friendly, and called me before carrying out the service with an estimate of the work to be done and the cost, which was very reasonable.

When I picked up the car, Paul took me through the invoice, explaining what had been done and why, and the amount of work involved in each job. I won't be taking my car anywhere else!

    • We both own the freehold. They’re in the maisonette and I’m in the flat. They’re older, so with any luck, they’ll be selling soon. Unfortunately, due to recent events, all of this now has to be disclosed on the TA6 form. Honestly, I’d move out of sheer shame if I were them. Poisoning fruit trees planted for children is just cruel, and they haven’t even apologised. I genuinely wonder how they justify this to themselves. Envy is such a toxic and destructive emotion, and sadly, it often explains behaviour like this. I just wanted to say how grateful I am for the support from so many of you, especially at the East Dulwich Forum drinks and for the kind messages on both this forum and the Nextdoor app. It’s genuinely reassuring to know there are still decent, supportive neighbours around.
    • Hmm, you seem to have an agenda.  I like ait of measured that they have done to promote active travel, improving pedestrian and cyclist safety, whilst improving the streetscape. I avoid making sweeping statements about wildlife management as I don't know enough about their policies, and expect some in Southwark are passionate about what they do. Go along to a relevant local meeting and ask, I doubt if you will change a thing by posting here.
    • It wouldn't surprise me at all.   The council used to spray the pavements all the time b4 lockdown.  They are probably doing it again.
