Time for relaxed fun at the Plough's Thursday quiz night

Come down and enjoy the Plough's puzzles tonight. You could win cash for first prize, a bottle of wine for second-to-last, free bonus drinks, sweets and even biscuits if you're lucky. People start settling down from 8pm for an 8.30pm kick off. It's general knowledge supplemented by popular picture puzzles and it's only ?1.50 per person to enter. The quiz is hosted in the left-hand-side bar as you enter the front of the pub and if you are feeling peckish, then you can eat at the same time too. Looking forward to seeing you there :)

  Thanks Sue. No the car just drove on. We don't know if they noticed. We were driving behind. We were just glad we could be with the cat, and take him to the vet, rather than leaving him there 😞

  Certainly the infamous (and mythical) SE London cat killer turned out to be foxes attacking dying and dead cats injured by cars, but fox: cat encounters do appear to happen, even where cats are victorious. Fox: adult humans less so. At least where foxes are the aggressors.

  This is a bit outside our area, but I'm posting in case .... Last night (Sat.20 Dec), around 10.30, we saw a cat hit by a car in St Norbert Road, SE4. We took him to the out of hours vet in Beckenham, where they confirmed that he had died. They will see if he is microchipped, and contact the owner if so. They were very kind. He was a lovely cat, grey and white. He must have died very quickly. So sorry to be the bearer of bad news 😞 The vet is Medivet in Beckenham, tel: 0208 650 2003.
