After school care

Recommended Posts

Hello,

My daughter is also at Herne Hill School (Reception Marlow-Prince) and we are looking for pick up care on the same days as you (although possible not the Tuesday as she might, if we are lucky, do the ballet club). We live on Croxted Road (the stretch backing onto Belair Park) and are equally flexible on picking up from the childminder / another family or having another child at our house. Would you be interested in sharing someone? If so, what class is your child in?

I hope you do not mind me 'high-jacking' the advert but I thought that as our needs were identical if would be a good idea.

Best wishes

Vicki

Hello,

No I do not mind you high-jacking at all...

We are in East Dulwich, hence why flexible,

I applied for Ballet today, received a receipt by email, but not sure if that is final confirmation, but I will still need a pick up on Tuesday even if she does it.

I have had a lady pm me so I will reply to her, but keep you posted especially if she is interested in more than 1 child..

I am sorry I cannot remember what class my daughter is in and it is up stairs and I am too comfortable on the sofa, I will let you know

Heather

    • Thanks very much for that.   I think the better informed we are, the better our discussions will be. The article contained: "That arrest had quite an impact on the [phone theft] numbers for the following month,” said Green.  Here's another indicator, admittedly a piece of police PR,  of how well-targeted police efforts, mostly invisible to us,  can when successful  seriously affect offending figures: https://news.met.police.uk/news/met-police-drive-down-theft-and-robbery-by-84-percent-in-battersea-and-nine-elms-500495.
    • Another excellent article from Jim Waterson's London Centric reporting https://www.londoncentric.media/p/kitchen-foil-and-algerian-markets?utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email Interesting that there seem to be favoured and repeated routes for phone snatching for particular thieves.  Seems ED might be one of them ☹️
    • Anywhere near the Overground/Windrush due to its excellent transport links.  You will get larger place in SE23 for example that will give you enough spare cash for private school if that's what you really want but states schools generally good, reflecting the demographic  Easy to get to the bustling streets of East Dulwich but in ten years see what happens to Forest Hill centre.  The whole of the area is full of green spaces. Access to East Croydon for days out in the South Coast
