Nanny wanted

OJN

Recommended Posts

We are looking for a nanny to start at the beginning of September to work on Mondays and Tuesdays each week from 7.50am to 6.20pm. We live in SE11 (Kennington). It is a live out position. Must speak English, be a non smoker and must be able to drive (we will insure you to drive our car). We are looking for someone who is reliable, enthusiastic, caring, kind and proactive. You will take our two boys (age 8 and 6) to school by car. Then look after our 1 year old daughter, taking her to local activities, the park, library, making sure she has good meals and good naps. Then, collect the boys from school, give all 3 children supper, supervise homework, start bath time. If there is time available, it would he helpful if you could do some household jobs such as washing, tidying etc.

If this is of interest, we look forward to hearing from you (and meeting you).

    • Sue, One of the hairdressers who called me had spent a fair amount of time getting all his clients’ details from the database before he gave his notice and left.  He wouldn’t have been able to do it afterwards.
    • That hasn't been my experience, but admittedly it was a long time ago. For example, I had an excellent cutter at one of the central London Charles Worthington salons, I think it was in Covent Garden. I would be highly surprised if anyone who worked there was allowed to keep their own book of clients' details, because the salon itself  obviously wants to keep their clients. I can't remember the exact details, but if memory serves she left, and when I asked where she had gone  I was told she had "gone travelling", which may or may not have been true (I am not someone who keeps up a constant conversation with whoever is cutting my hair, which may be a surprise to those who know me 😂). The next person I had there made an absolute dog's breakfast of my cut, to such an extent that I had to have several (free) cuts from somebody else at that salon to bring it back to some semblance of what it was supposed to look like.
