Can anyone recommend and independent financial advisor? I'm looking for advice on mortgages and re-mortgaging, debt management and relocation. Thanks

For Debt - look online for payplan - they do free financial advice for debt and if you take a plan with them they do not have fess included (as do most of the others)

For mortgages/ remortgages - they're all middlemen who compare options available to you and process applications for you - so it doesn't make much difference who you use. They should be certified, but can be indiviuals or a company.

Please do be careful, as their interest and customer-care usually ends when you sign a mortgage (read - ANY mortgage) so you have to look at the terms of these. If this is the advice you seek, they should be able (as are qualified) to answer any questions for you. Always read small print before you sign - in terms of get-out-clauses, etc.

Banks would obvioulsy want to use their own products, so maybe that has limitations.
