Royal Parks Half Marathon - Fina Places!

Recommended Posts

Calling all runners of East Dulwich!

We have our final spaces available to run the Royal Parks Half Marathon on October 11th in aid of Starfish Greathearts Foundation; we work in 7 provinces in South Africa, and provide education, healthcare, hope, opportunity (and so much more!) for vulnerable children and in particular, those who have been impacted as a result of HIV/AIDS.

Registration is ?20, and we ask you to fundraise ?300 for our cause. Our team are on-hand to help you smash that fundraising target!

To find out more or register your interest, please get in touch. You may be an avid runner or a complete novice - regardless, our team are here for you the entire way!

We hope to welcome you to Team Starfish!

    • I haven't had a rude EVRI delivery but last week I had an unexpected delivery at 10.42 pm. He didn't ring the bell or knock on the door (or rattle the letter flap) but just took a photo and put the box down.  If it hadnt been for the door camera giving us a beep we would never have known there was a parcel ready to sit there all night.
    • Sorry if I’m being slow but there’s no point in having a gate then is there?  Would have thought it was basic manners to respect someone’s property
    • I didn't say wedge it "slightly" open. I meant to wedge it fully open.
    • I have a rescue Spanish greyhound (galgo) from the charity mentioned above. You can contact Greyhounds in Need or one of the more local Kent greyhound rescue charities. They are fantastic family dogs. They do love walkies 2 or 3 times a day but they actually don't need to be walked too far and then they will happily loaf around on the sofa being very chill. They are brilliant with kids but not recommended if you own a cat as they have a strong prey drive. They also should be kept on the lead in local parks. They prefer to be around other sight-hounds (well my one does) and there are loads of local sighthound owners in Peckham, Crystal Palace etc and a very lively WhatsApp group that is brilliant if you need dog sitting as you can usually find someone to do that for free in return for you looking after the dog at a later date etc.
