This morning I was woken at 5am by Old Nick himself dancing on the roof of my house. He said he had lost his black cat and his trident had been confiscated by the police leaving him afraid to walk the streets on his own. He asked to come in for a cup of tea and wanted to borrow a bus fare back to Hades. He might have been genuine but I had my doubts - something about his eyes. Has he called on anyone else on Barry Road?

the Devil is of course in the Detail, what ever the heck that means...

maybe he never visits you because you prefer talking to the other fella, you know "Oh God, I'm Coming" which is obviously a prayer to say you are on your way to heaven and not hell...

however I am sure I can find 666 reasons to get the devil to pop around for a slice of bread with salt on it and a glass of red wine. B)

    • Yes, except round here is started in early September, through October, in all that means fireworks season is now 5 months of the year.  Again, what is the attraction in startling random bangs. Why do people think this is okay?
    • You've gone a bit Alan Patridge again.... Why on earth would I need to eat humble pie, I really can't fathom what your point is?
    • Ahh, the traditional smell of the BT air fresher, hint of urine, used to stop people spending hours in the phone box and queues forming.  Although it is disgusting that people feel its their rights to treat a utility as their own personal litter bin and urinal. 😔
