We are looking for someone to take over the lease of our beautiful 2 to 3 bed garden flat in West Norwood from 1 September. The property consists of two large double bedrooms, one with an en suite shower room, a period fireplace and French doors leading out onto the garden. The second bedroom is large and both bedrooms have built-in cupboards. There is also a big family bathroom with bath and two reception rooms, one that could be turned into a third bedroom that boasts a beautiful period fireplace. The kitchen, dining and second reception room are all open plan with bifold doors leading out onto a huge private lawned garden. The flat is unfurnished but comes with all white goods, a big garden shed for storage, polished wooden floors and carpets in the bedrooms. The flat is on Ardlui Rd, a quiet leafy street in West Norwood close to the amenities on WN high street and an easy 10 minute walk to West Norwood, Tulse Hill and West Dulwich train stations with their quick links into the city. It is a spacious and light-filled home, perfect for families and close to good schools and pre-schools. We are sad to leave but have now bought our own home. Please contact me for more photos. ?1900 pm including monthly garden service.

    • Hello! We are relocating abroad and so will be withdrawing our two children (ages 4 and 6) from St Dunstan’s College (Catford). If any family is considering enrolling children of a similar age, now would be an excellent opportunity—we’re required to pay full‑term fees unless the places are taken. Please get in touch if you’re interested or know someone who might be. Thank you!

    • Thanks for your reply. I’ve subscribed to Ancestry a few times in the past but felt I wasn’t using it enough to warrant keeping up the subscription.
    • Hi, I saw your post and just wanted to say that the incident you’re referring to did happen in the late 1980s at Dawson’s Heights. The person involved was named Carl Salawa, and he had just turned 18 years old at the time. Like you, I haven’t been able to find any news articles or official reports about it, If anyone remembers anything more about that time or incident, I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Thanks for sharing what you were told—it means a lot to know others remember.
