The Little Hero Company runs children?s activity classes in Dulwich for 2 ? to 6 year olds.

We are now seeking a Superhero Trainer to help with two sessions per week, on Mondays & Fridays (term time only) at St Barnabus Parish hall, Dulwich Village. The trainer will be required for 1 ? hours per session.

We are looking for someone who is fun, bubbly and enjoys working with kids. They must be reliable, enthusiastic, encouraging and have an engaging manner.

Superhero Trainer would be required to:

? Assist with the set up of the assault course before and during the sessions.

? Interact with all the kids.

? Guide the kids in a safe manner through the various activities.

? Help tidy and put away all equipment after the session.

Pay is ?10 per hour, so a total of ?30 per week, however we will be looking to increase the number of weekly classes over time.

IF you are interested, please contact Lucy on 0781 379 1757 or email [email protected]

Thanks.

    • DKH was two form entry, it is now one form entry to cope with the fact it was far more under subscribed than other schools in the area. They had actually combined year groups into single classes, 3/4 and 5/6.  When a school changes name, it’s usually because of a bad reputation perhaps the results.  The new name is dry with no history unlike its current name. It’s a very sketchy decision. It’s an expensive vanity project for someone.  What  will happen if the name change does not increase applications to the school?
    • @first mate I assume Alice made a mistake, as she removed her reaction.  I was wondering about park wardens. As I said, there was one there last night, who was incredibly helpful and proactive. As well as bringing me to the police, he caught up with a young guy on a bike who'd earlier been the victim of an attempted theft by these kids and linked him up with the police too. But I do wonder, as I've only very occasionally seen him riding around, how many they have and what hours they patrol. I've no doubt they'd be a strong deterrent if they had a better presence. They were nowhere to be seen the first time around.  Update: I've just found this: https://services.southwark.gov.uk/community-safety/community-wardens The guy in the photo at the bottom of the page was the lovely warden of last night and I've just now remembered him telling me he's based in Burgess Park. Anyway, there needs to be more of them, as I rarely see one in Peckham.
    • Some of us oldies would associate Grove with the old Grove Vale School (which I went to in the 1950s)
