Help - small basement conversion and kitchen extension

Hi All,

I have just moved to Herne Hill and am looking to convert the small basement area into a utility room and to do a side extension for the kitchen. I am having difficulties locating a builder who could do both and who is recommended. I would greatly appreciate any advice or suggestions that you might have.

Many thanks in advance, and btw, this is a great forum and has really helped me.

  Wow! Is this the remnants of a wood pigeon? We occasionally see the feathers following a kill but only once have I seen the hawk in the garden and certainly not like your experience.

  I saw this sparrowhawk bring down a pigeon in Upland Rd today, a few houses short of Eric's bakery. Nature red in tooth and claw in East Dulwich!
