We had a new boiler and pressurised tank installed during the summer by ProGas (based in Sydenham) and I really could not fault them.

It was a big job, since we moved the boiler from the cellar and the water tank from the bathroom and put both up in the attic (so lots of complicated pipework). We also moved/replaced some radiators, but nothing phased them. They turned up punctually each day, got on with their work, cleaned up and went home. They were so quiet we sometimes forgot they were there, but the results are great. The system works perfectly.

Another recommendation for Yen Lin - he installed our new boiler last week and did a great job. It was a tight installation which made it tricky but he worked until 8pm to make sure he got it running that day. He is Vailant approved so you get a longer warranty if your installing that brand. Very competitive on labour and he knows where to get the lowest cost machines. He goes to my tennis club and is a very nice chap too! You'll find him here: http://www.londonplumber.biz/

    • I'm down about 50% in numbers and more in species since three years ago.  Not sure if it is the weather, continual building works, the quality of my feed or the pigeons and parakeets putting off others.  Good conversation on Winterwatch on feeding tonight, including issues with spreading disease. Three years ago, likely to see long tailed tits, dunnocks, song thrushes, corvids, wood pigeons. black birds, black caps. Possibles - redwings. Unlikely to see any this weekend, only blue and great tits, robin, goldfinches, bloody feral pigeons.
    • Thanks for the information about the wildlife group. I didn't know about that. And thanks to Sue for the links.
    • I got mine through the post with their mag  (I'm a member) but if you haven't signed up yet, you can download a printable guide from the RSPB website (you need to scroll down quite a way). https://www.rspb.org.uk/whats-happening/big-garden-birdwatch
    • I am currently selling via No Flies, very good communication, got 8 viewings the first weekend, a second viewing the following week and a decent offer the second weekend.
