Room NOW LET

I have a 3-bed flat (of which 1 room is available)in Grove Vale SE22. It's 2 minutes' walk from East Dulwich Station (with regular trains to London Bridge & Victoria); short walk to Denmark Hill (for Kings X & the City). There's a large lounge, decent bathroom and a newly-fitted kitchen. The room itself is a good-sized double (see the attached photo), and the other two tenants are professionals in their early 30's. I can send more photos by email/whatsapp, but previous tenants were there for over two years, and were sad to move on, which is as high a recommendation for a flat (and landlord) as you're likely to find. Sorry, no students or DSS tenants - and no smoking (not even leaning out of the window!) or pets (fish excepted,I'm not that fussy!!). Available immediately on a 6/9/12 month agreement. Send me a PM to arrange a viewing.

    • Thanks very much for that.   I think the better informed we are, the better our discussions will be. The article contained: "That arrest had quite an impact on the [phone theft] numbers for the following month,” said Green.  Here's another indicator, admittedly a piece of police PR,  of how well-targeted police efforts, mostly invisible to us,  can when successful  seriously affect offending figures: https://news.met.police.uk/news/met-police-drive-down-theft-and-robbery-by-84-percent-in-battersea-and-nine-elms-500495.
    • Another excellent article from Jim Waterson's London Centric reporting https://www.londoncentric.media/p/kitchen-foil-and-algerian-markets?utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email Interesting that there seem to be favoured and repeated routes for phone snatching for particular thieves.  Seems ED might be one of them ☹️
    • Anywhere near the Overground/Windrush due to its excellent transport links.  You will get larger place in SE23 for example that will give you enough spare cash for private school if that's what you really want but states schools generally good, reflecting the demographic  Easy to get to the bustling streets of East Dulwich but in ten years see what happens to Forest Hill centre.  The whole of the area is full of green spaces. Access to East Croydon for days out in the South Coast
