I need to edit a pdf file which is an ad. The deadline is 5 September (for the October/November issue of the publication) and the person who usually does this for me is away till after then :(

The layout will be basically the same, but there are quite a few text changes.

I have just downloaded a free pdf editor (AbleWord) but when I open the pdf in it, there is no text appearing.

I thought this might be because it is white text on a black background, but I've changed the text and background colour and still no text is appearing, just a logo strip down the left, and the Facebook and Twitter logos at the bottom.

Can anybody tell me what I might be doing wrong, or suggest another free pdf editor?

I'll attach a screenshot of what's appearing in the editor, but I'll have to do it in a separate post as apparently the two attachments are too big :(

    • Yes, we have a Casio CT-S100 we no longer need, except I dont think we have the headphones any more. It has a USB connection. £50? https://www.argos.co.uk/product/7333639
    • Thank you! She is both spayed and microchipped, and reported missing on Petlog and with the vets.   She normally never goes out the front, certainly for never more than 10-15 minutes, so this is definitely new territory for her. There is lots of dense foliage across the road so there are plenty of places she could be hiding if she is spooked, so we are hoping she will come back when she is calm. The weather isn't helping, she never goes out in the rain. Thank you again!
    • Hi, Have you been letting her out the front door onto the street or would this be a first & therefore unfamiliar with the area? Does she respond to a name & is she spayed & microchipped? Our team carry scanners on our daily routes & will of course be looking our for her. I hope you are reunited with her soon. If not already, notify your street & surrounding streets (find out if they have Whatsapp groups) Dox will print & deliver free missing posters https://www.doxdirect.com/help/free-missing-pet-posters/ Call her at dusk & dawn when street & foot traffic is at its lowest.
