Car fire on Goodrich road ?!

Walking down Goodrich road this morning it looks as though there has been a car on fire there. The parking space on road is covered in ash, broken glass and a few springs etc. does anyone know anything about this?

Yes, big drama at 1am with all the neighbours out in their pjs. A guy set fire to the car and was subsequently arrested (I'm not sure how the police got him so quickly). Loads of police and a fire engine. We were all woken up by load bangs as the car was burning.

I'm double checking Southwark Council are aware to deal with the mess.

Thats so terrifying, I wonder why on earth that happened? Did you speak to the person who owned the car??

Known to the car owner, perhaps? (just guessing, I have no idea).

Just had confirmation that council contractors have this vehicles on list for removal which should happen in the next day or two.

eh - its long gone - it was removed the following day...you can see the damage the fire did to the road.
