As part of this year?s Peckham & Nunhead Free Film Festival Rye Books will be screening ?The Chain? written by Jack Rosenthal, this British comedy which takes a sideways look at the potential minefield of moving house. Warren Mitchell plays Bamber, removals expert and philosopher extraordinaire, who in a fit of optimism schedules his removal men to undertake seven different moves in one day - all of them interconnected. Each person has their own particular reason for moving and each reason has a curious affiliation to one of the seven deadly sins.

This is an outdoor event so we thought it?s only fair to serve up the first of the seasons mulled cider! If on the night the weather is set to be chilly please bring a blanket to sit on and wear warm clothes. Coffee, tea and cake on sale. Free event. No booking needed.

    • Years ago, got my ears pierced, alcohol on site, gun ..done.. Simple.. Gosh, surely your daughter of mothers can recommend  - do you really need to post on forum? Or maybe you home school whatever.. still recovering from shock, posted along the lines of, advice needed about adopting/ buying a dog…. Guess I am now at a age, where I should just keep quiet and pass no comment and read  postings like a “soap” - cheaper than tv licence…

    • I would'nt go locally I'd go to Maria Tash in Liberty..it'll be more expensive but they will do a good job and its their buisness not a 'sideline' to other beauty offerings. https://www.mariatash.com/store-locations/maria-tash-london-liberty?srsltid=AfmBOoqMz7Ev-4YqzrlkePX0n3i5JbiggGYSR9kU5z1p_ajP_jjQKqlt I have no experience of piercing at Polished but I went in to enquire about a manicure and I found the staff attitude pretty rude, looking me up and down when I walked in and just giving off a bad attitude like they just could'nt be bothered maybe because I'm not a glam 30 something? I dont know.
    • Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone here buys Bonne Maman jam? I’d love to upcycle the empty jars if you're planning to throw them out. I'm hoping to make my own jam and would really appreciate using those cute jars for it. Thanks
