I'm 47 / 5442 in the French Fans league, I was around 2000 before the Eng v Arg game, so a lot of them must've predicted England to lose...….plus ça change! 😃

After last night's result might have to revisit predictions for the 'one-sided' games, what with first choice players being rested 🤔

And after last night's game you might not.........😀

Remaining matches:

Bronze Medal Match

Argentina v England  8pm Friday

Final

New Zealand v South Africa  8pm Saturday

Note that 3 Win Points are awarded for each of these. Therefore there's potentially 4.5 points to be won in each match.

With 1 match left it's a 3 horse race, which presumably means the Cowboy is favourite. Superbru only awarded 2 WP's for last night's match which contradicts their own rules. I have queried it with them.

But they must be awarding 3 for the Final which makes predicting the winner all important.

    • They are. We are back to the same construction racket 8am-8pm every day for the whole of this week. The wall is one of the last things to come down, probably on Saturday. Then we can see how much of a mess they've made, especially the quantity of non-biodegradeable litter trampled into the earth. GALA 2025 - Production Schedule.pdf

    • @Rockets be a sweety and stop using the large font, it's annoying and I expect most can comprehend. Still not sure how this festival affects you.  Or is it a case that you just like taking on causes
    • It is intimidating looking through the book sections now.  I sometimes wonder if they're stocking bookshops' remainders. OTOH, when I put  some books out in a cardboard box for taking, it was  encouraging to see that a fair proportion of those taken were aged hardbacks.
