Has anyone had a stained glass window panel made

Hi

I have a rectangular window light (not sure if that is the right term) above our kitchen door. We have to replace it with fire protected glass to compile with building regs but I would love to have one made for us with a stained glass or other type of coloured design which can be done to meet regs.

Does anyone know who can help?

have a word with http://www.artwithglass.co.uk/contact.htm. Vince cleaned and restored our stained glass window and arranged for it to be "sandwiched" into the double glazed panel.

sandwiching stained glass between float glass defeats the object as there is too much reflection , also between a sealed unit will not last more than a couple of years before it steams up. Just ignore 'regs' and have a stained glass panel in all it's colour as it was originally intended.

Thanks for the messages very helpful! Sadly I cannot ignore regs as our building control guy is being very strict and anything the slightest bit against his guidance and he wont issue the certificates - I have fire doors and smoke alarms coming out of my ears lol

Just make sure that you have the pyro stop on the outside , that way it's only people on the outside that cannot appreciate your stained glass.
