Never noticed it before but had service charge added to my bill for the Sunday Buffet at Mirash last Sunday.

I usually leave a tip but not going to leave a tip on top of service charge for serve yourself buffet.

Tip jar and a service charge? Bizarre.

Unfortunately lots of businesses use the tips, or a portion of them for the staff wages.
