Four bedroom house in East Dulwich available to rent from January

We are looking for tenants interested in a long let of our house, starting after Christmas.

It is at the Forest Hill end of East Dulwich, SE22 but a 10/15 minute walk to Forest Hill station and near the Horniman.

We are just finishing building work and were not expecting to move, so are getting lots of small jobs done and intend to do viewings in October.

The house is a Victorian terrace with a driveway. It has two separate receptions, one with working fireplace, and an extended kitchen with bifolds on to the garden, and an enormous amount of storage. Built-in brand new appliances and underfloor heating. There's also a downstairs bathroom. Upstairs is another bathroom and four bedrooms: two doubles, one small double/large single and one a small single/study.

No photos available as we're still getting it ready - it will be freshly painted. But anyone interested should get in touch and we'll be in contact shortly.

    • Thanks very much for that.   I think the better informed we are, the better our discussions will be. The article contained: "That arrest had quite an impact on the [phone theft] numbers for the following month,” said Green.  Here's another indicator, admittedly a piece of police PR,  of how well-targeted police efforts, mostly invisible to us,  can when successful  seriously affect offending figures: https://news.met.police.uk/news/met-police-drive-down-theft-and-robbery-by-84-percent-in-battersea-and-nine-elms-500495.
    • Another excellent article from Jim Waterson's London Centric reporting https://www.londoncentric.media/p/kitchen-foil-and-algerian-markets?utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email Interesting that there seem to be favoured and repeated routes for phone snatching for particular thieves.  Seems ED might be one of them ☹️
    • Anywhere near the Overground/Windrush due to its excellent transport links.  You will get larger place in SE23 for example that will give you enough spare cash for private school if that's what you really want but states schools generally good, reflecting the demographic  Easy to get to the bustling streets of East Dulwich but in ten years see what happens to Forest Hill centre.  The whole of the area is full of green spaces. Access to East Croydon for days out in the South Coast
    • Could East Dulwich or Forest Hill work? Some properties on Underhill Road and Wood Vale have large gardens e.g.  https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/161079866#/?channel=RES_BUY  You'd be close to the Horniman, Dulwich Park and Peckham Rye. Transport might not be what you're looking for though e.g. a 15 minute walk to Forest Hill station for the East London line or mainline into London Bridge.
