This is the response I had yesterday from council officers:

"

Dear Councillor James Barber,

Thank you very much for drawing our attention to the poor drainage on East Dulwich Road at crossroads with both Adys Road and Crystal Palace Road.

A member of our team visited the location to investigate the problem. The gully crew were instructed to attend and clean all three gullies straight away but found the pipe from drain run to about 15metres in the direction of the sewer and stopped. To establish what is really happening underneath the carriageway a detailed investigation including a CCTV survey has subsequently been instructed to clarify whether possible civil works will be required to rectify the problem. In the interim awaiting further investigations, our gulley crew will attend to remove surface water anytime there is heavy rainfall until all the necessary remedial works are completed.

We will update you when this is done. Please do not hesitate to contact us if there are further issues relating to this matter.

Kind regards,

"

As soon as I hear more I will pass it on.

    • I smelt it also and asked a staff member where it was coming from a few days ago.  She said it was something to do with cleaning but I wasn’t sure because it was in poor English and she replied while walking away from me at some speed. I got the impression it was a subject she wasn’t keen to discuss!
    • Are you sure they are not reported as Mock Turtles, by a confused reader of Alice in Wonderland? 🤣
    • Some good shouts above! Agree with zork on Guacamoles (authentic - no frills) and Ganapati, and agree with malumbu on En Root - really love that place.  @Eats Dulwich - I like Roti King too, although my Malaysian friend says this is only one type of Malaysian cooking, and there are plenty of other good restaurants around London  - Normah's (Queensway) is another classic - Mambow (which moved from Peckham to Clapton unfortunately) was amazing too - but I think I might prefer Janda to all the above - maybe best to wait a few weeks before visiting Janda, to let the post-Times-review crowd settle down!
    • Kids water gun in working order is needed, please. Can collect this evening in Dulwich Village and near vicinity, happy to pay.
